Eric Hitchen joined Marconi in 1951, initially in Radar but soon moved to Marconi College where he was asked to teach Television! His career blossomed and soon he was off to Australia where he later joined AWA (Amalgamated Wireless Australia) who at that time were Marconi's agents. This booklet is an oral history of Eric's life and a great read.
There is also a great book entitled "Spinning Discs, Mirrors and Electrons" by Messrs. Robert Forster and Douglas Grant published in 2011. An introduction to it is available here. This book can be purchased in both digital download (PDF) and hardback forms from the Lulu website here.
Another book "HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU - the story of British Television 1908-1939 by Bruce Norman - text version here
